Eastern edge of Fermanagh
Rosslea
is a large village at the eastern edge of Fermanagh, located very
close to the border with Monaghan. The village is built on the Finn
River and surrounded by small natural lakes, with bountiful supplies
of trout and freshwater fish. The village has recently benefited
from the establishment of a community controlled Heritage Centre
which is an excellent source of information for any visitor to the
area.
The village itself is home to an overwhelmingly rural population
and surrounded by some wonderful scenery, with Rosslea Forest providing
some excellent walks and local studies to the south of the village.
Possibly of greater interest to some visitors, the village also
houses a range of pubs with good food and drink, as usual, the norm.
