A 50 Mile Drive Around The Highlands of Fermanagh and Cavan
This 50 mile / 80km drive around the beautiful Cuilcagh Mountians
of Counties Fermanagh and Cavan encompasses all of the main attractions
and viewpoints of the area.
- Explore landscapes ranging from the wondeful limestone pavements
of the Marlbank and the Cavan Burren to the Spectacular underground
world of the Marble Arch Caves.
- Tour the stunning house and gardens at Florencecourt or visit the old spa wells of picturesque Swanlibar.
- Stop at Shannon Pot and reflect on the old legend associated
with this, the source of Ireland's longest river, or visit the
many ancient monuments left behind by generations long forgotten.
The Cuilcagh area offers a range of guest accommodation and restaurants,
notably in the villages of Blacklion, Belcoo and Swanlibar. Although only 50 miles long, this drive has so much
to offer that a full day won't do it justice.
